She started her carrier as a legal assistant at Attorney General Office of Maldives, on February 2005. She was promoted as Deputy State attorney, Attorney General Office on July 2010. From 2012 to 9^th January 2014 she was Senior State Attorney at Attorney General’s Office.

She also has extensive legal experience in both the public and private sector of the Maldives. Since joining the Government in 2005, she has served in various senior positions; including a member at the First Governing Board of National Drug Control Fund, Member of Disability Comity at Ministry of Gender and Family, Member of Foster Penal at Ministry of Gender and Family, Member of Customs Valuation Comity at Maldives Customs Service, Member of Land Valuation Comity at President Office. Also, she is a trainer of Family Conference Facilitator, Republic of Maldives.

A registered lawyer at the Maldives Bar since 2006, She has extensive experience as a corporate lawyer, providing legal counsel for several International and National Companies, State Enterprise and banks. Leaving the public sector in Jan 2014 after 9 years of public service. Apart from her work as a corporate lawyer, she was the lead counsel in a number of prominent landmark cases.

She is registered and Licensed Practitioner of the Supreme Court, High Court, Civil Court and Criminal Court of the Maldives. She also undertakes considerable teaching and research activities.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Shari’ah & Laws (Hons) from Maldives Islamic University (2008) and obtained her Masters from Villa College of Maldives (2013)
